I I I City of New Brighton Der:ember 14, 1982 Public Hearings The City Planner reviewed the staff report and Planning Commission recommendation. Mr. Jerry Svee, applicant, was present to review the proposed 24 unit townhome development. Mr. Svee noted that the site provided good accessibility being adjacent to the 1-694/ Long Lake Road interchange and was also attractive in terms of its relation to Long Lake. Mr. Svee further noted that the average unit will contain 2,200 square feet and will be sold at an average price of around $150,000 and further that the site itself will be developed with a tennis court, swimming pool and will have a large water retention pond to meet Watershed District requirements. Councilmemher Janecek questioned whether the 14 visitor parking spaces were adequate. The City Planner noted that the ordinance requires two spaces per unit which is provided for in the development and that in addition to these spaces there are 14 visitor parking spaces shown. The City Planner further noted that the driveways were of sufficient width to provide additional space if required and that given this space and those visitor parking spaces show~ it was felt that the parking was adequate. No one else present at the public hearing spoke to the application.
