One unlighted sign <br />mAY be displayed for a residential project which <br />is the initial offering for sale or rent of ten <br />(10) or more new dwelling units, vacant lots or <br />combination thereof for a period not to exceed <br />two (2) years. Such sign shall not be more than <br />ten (10) feet in height and thirty-two (32) <br />Square feet in area, except that the area of the <br />sign may be increased to sixty-four (64) square <br />feet so long as it is situated no closer than <br />one hundred fifty (150) feet from the property <br />line of an occupied residence that is not a part <br />of a development. <br /> <br />Temporary signs. Temporary signs are permitted <br />for churches, schools and public facilities only <br />and are subject to the regulations of Section <br />9-140. <br /> <br />Electronic readerboard signs. Electronic reader- <br />board signs may be permitted for schools or public <br />facilities only. One such sign per lot shall be <br />permitted by special use permit and are subject <br />to the requirements of institutional signs. <br /> <br />RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICTS, R-3A AND R-3B <br /> <br />Institutional sign. One sign and/or encased <br />bulletin board is permitted for a church, public <br />facility or school. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />An institutional ground sign shall not <br />exceed 20 square feet in area, not <br />exceed 10 feet in height and shall be <br />placed not less than 10 feet from any <br />street right-of-way. <br /> <br />~, <br />c. <br /> <br />An instituional wall sign shall not <br />exceed 20 percent of the designated <br />signable area or 200 square feet i~ <br />area, whichever is less. <br /> <br />Ground sign. No ground sign shall exceed thirty <br />five (35) square feet in area, shall not exceed <br />twelve (12) feet jrl height and shall be setback <br />a minimum of ten (10) feet from any street right- <br />of-w.3.Y 1 trle. Such sigrl shall state <br />s name. address and/or phone number only. <br /> <br />Wall sign. No wall sign shall exceed 30 percent <br />of the signable area or 200 squre feet in area <br />whichever is less. Signable area is an area o~ <br />a building free of windows or doors.
