<br />4.4 Hunting, Fishine and Xolestins ~ildlife

<br />a. No person shall kill, hunt, trap, pur3ue, injure, molest or
<br />unnecessarily disturb or hc1.ve in possession any s~ecies of wiU-
<br />life including birds, waterfo;.;l, fish or other a."1inals :ound
<br />within the confines of any Open Space .3i te, e::cept that fishinG
<br />may be permitted in designated areas subject to laws and regula.-
<br />tions as esta bUshed by the State of ;:innesota.
<br />b. No person shall rob, disturb, or molest the nest, eggs or YOQ~g
<br />of any birds, or other aninals within the coniines of any O?en
<br />Space Site.

<br />4.5 Fires
<br />
<br />a. No person shall start or maintain a fire in any O,en 31~ce 3it~
<br />e:rcept 5m3-l1 recreational fires in fir':'!?laces, fire rings, anc.
<br />grills provided for that purpose in arp.as speci'::~ically desi,-:;na.ted
<br />for such use Private e;rills I:'ay be usod in oe::..;ignatcd areas
<br />provided that all ~hes and residue therefron be disposed of in
<br />containers provided for such disposal.
<br />b. Any person who starts or maintains a fire in an authorized a.rea
<br />shall e:rercise continuous supervisio:: from the ti:::e :.he fire is
<br />kindled until it is extinquished.. 1:0 fire shall cause dana;8 or
<br />constitute a threat to site vegetation a~j resources, nor shall it
<br />cause discomfort to other open space Users.
<br />c. The Director ~ay at hig discretion prohibit fireS for limited
<br />periods at any location for any purpose when it is necessary for
<br />the continued protection of park property and resources.
<br />
<br />4.6 Waste and Litter
<br />
<br />a. Ho person shall throw, cast, drop, pour, spill or disc~arse, or pe~-
<br />nit to escape in or u!'>on any lancl, ponel, ri ve-::, creek ,streell",
<br />ditch, stor:n sewer or drain flowinc into or throuCh any Cper. 3pace
<br />Site, :my substance, :natter or thin~ wr.ether solid, l1.q'.:id, or
<br />eas, which shall result in the pollution of &1.id. waters, inter:~ere
<br />with the conse-::vation manag-er:ent 0; the water resource, or e'11C'cn:er
<br />the health of the public.
<br />b. :;0 person shall deposit, scatter, crop or aba..,,:'\.on in a.ny Open ..::?'O!.ce
<br />3ite, any paper, bottles, cans. sewa,;e, waste, tr,oish or othe~
<br />debris e::ce?t in receptacles provide:i. by the De?~tnent for such
<br />purposes. :;0 person shall deposit in any recept.acle in any 0::l'2n
<br />Space Site any accumulation of waste tlr trash Generated outsile
<br />the boundaries of the Site.
