Terminal Sick LeaVe. Terminal sick leave shall he <br />granted in the .amount .of twenty (20) percent of accrued sick <br />leave .to employees who have completed ten (10) years of service. <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />Subd..6. "Bank" Sick Leave. Employees who have accumulated <br />the rnaximum.120 days sick leave shall be }?ermitted to accrue <br />additional "bank" sick leave at the rate of one daype:r1jonth. <br />"Bank" s1ck leave may be used' only aftexregular sick le,avehas <br />heen exhausted andonl.y for personal illness or disability. <br />"Bank" sick leave shall not be used in computing terminal sick <br />leave benefits. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The 1966 ordinance Code of the village of New <br />Brighton is furtller amerided by adding Section 240:31; "lnjured on <br />Duty" which shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />Section 2:40:31 Injured. on Duty <br /> <br />a. Words, terms, and phrases. Unless the language or <br />context clearly indicates that a different meaning <br />is intended, the following words, terms and phrases<, <br />for the purposes of this section, shall be given the <br />meanings subjoined to them. <br /> <br /> <br />b. Village Sl1are. "Village share" shall mean the <br />difference between full salary and workmens <br />compensation. <br /> <br />c. sick Leave uSfl Percentage. "Sick leave use percentag " <br />shalL mean the "Village 'Share" divided by full salary <br />each computed from equivalent time periods. <br /> <br /> <br />Subd. 2. :E:ligibility. Eligibility for injured on duty <br />benefits shall he based on the injured employee's qualification <br />for workmens compensation benefits. If an employee: has been <br />determined eligible for workmens compensation benefits, he is <br />th-emal,so eligible for injured . on duty benefits. If an employee <br />has been determined noteligi'ble for work:mens compensation <br />benefits, ,he is also not eligible for injured on duty benefits. <br /> <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Injured on Duty Benefits. Any employee found <br />eligible for injured on duty benefits shall receive the following <br />. benefits: <br /> <br />a. The.first five (5) working days of absence due to <br />injury on duty shall be deducted from an employees <br />accrued sick leave, and the employee sh<;ill receive <br />full salary. <br /> <br />b.
